Caprices Festival has just announced their lineup with a twist, melding together the world of blockchain with the love for music. Caprices Festival is returning to the Crans Montana mountains of Switzerland for their original Winter dates across two weekends — April 8-10 and 15-17. Party goers can enjoy skiing in and out of the pristine, snow-kissed slopes before heading to the dance floor to kick off an evening of the best house and techno music has to offer.
The award winning festival’s 19th edition has returned to the Winter after spending the last two years hosting the festival in the Summer due to the pandemic. As the bubble lift ascends to the top of the mountain, you will be welcomed by the iconic Modernity stage that attracts a crowd from all corners of the earth. Dance under the glass ceiling with a 360 degree view of blue sky and mountains. The greenhouse like structure is at an elevation of 2200 m. That’s about as fresh as the air can get.
With two other stages hosting music at night, there will plenty of choice to go around. Each stage offers their own unique experience, whether it is the intimacy of the Forest stage or warehouse vibes of the Signal stage. The stages will be hosted by Movement Torino, Yoyaku Records, Techno V, Return by Solid AM and B4 Zanzibar. Partners that continue to evolve and are at their height of excitement. We look forward to seeing what they bring to the table.
The highly anticipated return brings a lineup set to impress. Headliners include local Swiss Luciano with a back to back set with crowd favourite, Ricardo Villalobos. Joining them will be German heavyweight, Sven Väth, known for being the backbone to techno culture. He will be performing a special show as part of his Catharsis album launch tour which is his first solo album in 20 years! RPR Soundsystem, the Romanian trio made up of Raresh, Petre Inspirescu, and Rhadoo, will also be hitting the decks. The list goes on with more talent coming from Jamie Jones, Cassy, Recondite, Dana Ruh, Guti, Archie Hamilton, Pan Pot, Digby, Janeret b2b Varhat, and Alci. Last but not least, Dixon, Tale of Us and Âme will be making their debut on the Modernity stage.
To shake things up, Caprices Festival has decided to dip their toe into the crypto sphere and integrate their world onto the blockchain by allowing its artists, investors, technologists, and crypto enthusiasts to inter-mingle. As more and more festivals introduce themes of NFT and the Metaverse into their schedules, the crowd gets to experience a whole new wave of festival experiences. Teaming up with award-winning cryptocurrency app, SwissBorg to host a series of events that promises NFT awards, NFT auctions, conferences, VR experiences, and much more. Maxime Léonard, Founder and Artistic Director of Caprices says on this latest innovation, “with Caprices we have always sought to be at the heart of novelty, and being among the first to offer an artistic event combining real and virtual life excites us a lot.”
This year proves just why Caprices has earned its reputation. They continue to bring down boundaries of intertwining art and music as we step into the next era of music festivals.
