Electronic music expands its outreach once again and proves it truly does touch every corner of the earth. We are excited to announce that Fabrika Fest is bringing an array of talented artists to Tunisia, Africa for a 4 day festival. From December 2nd to 5th, the Fabrika collective will cumulate 8 plus years of international party-throwing experience to bring the MENA region an electronic music festival that they have never seen before.
Fabrika took off in Paris in 2012 after some Tunisian DJ’s started the event series on their university campus. Since then it has continued to gain momentum bringing to us what we see today. A true hotspot for minimal electronic music with unique events within Paris and Tunisia. Their strong ethos that is rooted in creative education, love of discovery, passion for the music, and experiencing the moment with the community is what has cultivated their large following throughout the years.
This festival will not only be pleasing to the ears, but it will also be nestled in between the beach, hotel, and visual installations for an all round stimulating experience. The 2021 edition will take place at Hotel el Fell Hammamet. Offering regular rooms and comfort rooms with either 2 beds ranging up to 5 beds. If you don’t know anyone at the festival, don’t worry Fabrika can randomly match up festival-goers who need a roommate. This is a community festival and you will be sure to leave with a group of mates and many stories.
The 2019 festival was a roaring success as Fabrika delivered an immensely strong lineup. Priku, SIT (Vlad Caia b2b Cristi Cons), Charlie, Mihai Pol, Cap, Olga Korol, Dan Andrei, Dewalta and the list goes on. Fabrika promises another year just as good, especially after having to miss out in 2020. They are returning in full force!
Garnering a jam packed lineup of international talent, Fabrika has a big weekend in store for the African coast. 30 DJ’s will join the dance floor for a 4 Day, 3 night festival that takes us on an all-encompassing journey through local artists, and experienced heavyweights. Many of our favourite will be making their Tunisia debut — Rhadoo, Raresh, Ion Ludwig, Gescu will be showcasing minimal electronic each with their own twist. Cesar Merveille fuels the joy that radiates off the dance floor. His love for music is apparent in every set of his. Thomas Melchior & Ion Ludwig will play a special 5-hour back-to-back being on the closing duties for the evening, this b2b is set to be special. Joining them will be more artists that have each garnered international recognition. From Andrei Ciubuc, and Herodot, both unstoppable forces to be reckon with. Fabrika Festival will be showcasing the best of the best and bring minimal electronic music to Africa.
The weather in December in Hammamet, Tunisia will resemble a classic British festival. Be sure to get your wellies out as it usually rains for at least half the month. Good news, it will be warmer than the December Winters we are used to with temperatures between 12 and 16 degrees Celsius.
There are plenty of options to get to the festival as well. Just 77 km from Tunis Carthage airport, 62 km from Enfidha airport, and 117 km away from Monastir airport. Alternatively if you wish to carpool, there are plenty of Facebook groups to join and make plans with the community before you even get there.
Despite wishing we could put the pandemic behind us, we still need to mention the classic Covid rules and the entry requirements to Tunisia. If you are fully vaccinated 14 days before travel you are all set to travel. You will just need to fill out form on the governmental app and present a negative RT-PCR test bearing a QR Code, whose date of completion does not exceed 72 hours at check-in. For non vaccinated you must present a fit to fly test at least 72 hours for you fly and there is a mandatory quarantine of 7 days from the day you land in a designated hostel.
Additionally, the festival welcomes like-minded creatives and encourages them to host their own exhibits at the creators village. Over 1000 festival goers will have the opportunity to experience their talent, product, or activity.
After their successful festival last October, we know this one will be bigger and better than the last. Grab your tickets here.
