Lescale Recordings‘ second vinyl release it’s here, more energetic than ever. Spain’s Javier Carballo and frequent fellow Spanish collaborator Aniano join forces as HDZ making us tremble with the energetic “Bonus Track” EP. Not new to slippery acid-esque lines, harsh breakbeat beats, and gunpowder basslines, the duo delivers three originals plus label boss Ramona Yacef remixing the track with Italy’s trio Eliptica.
A1 “Bonus Track” is all about the acid. Arcade-like vocals populate the track, where a gently saturated groove bounces on the acid line in constant movement. Some twisted sounds and sudden noises make this one a true analog paradise.
With eight hands working on it, Ramona and Eliptica’s remix peacefully flows, with the acid spirit of the original here transformed into an intense slow burner. The evolution is revealed, and the rhythm gets more intense as sometimes the breakbeat structure interrupts.
“Back To Dance” is another 130 bpm roller. It unleashes laidback house stabs and a catchy playful synth that gives another bouncy feel to it, while a big fat snare slaps on its place.
Rounding off the package “Tr2” continues the spacey trend into a live session from the duo. On this one, Javier and Aniano literally let themselves go with the flow, retracing their acid footsteps, talking to the machines.
