Masters of the house The Lumens yet again return to the home base for the third installment of their own Positive Not Happy label. Hailing from Milan, the label bosses and Phoenix Room party promoters and curators have shared the decks with acclaimed names in the underground panorama such as Lamache, Oshana, and Ada Kaleh and they’re ready to do it again to the rhythm of their groovy and acid-infused productions.
Here too, the release is built like the previous two, as “Milosky” EP comes with two originals and two remixes, this time coming from Argentinian veteran Federico Molinari and Italy’s rising talent Denaila.
For the opener, “Milosky”, The Lumens serve a deadly and robust dancefloor tool that features powerful electro synths, rumbling toms, and a bold bassline that drags the entire piece into many different moments as “Milosky” live many lives thanks to its exciting joints.
A2 is about the Federico Molinari remix, with the Berlin-based longtime DJ and producer wrapping an excellent rework imbued with extra-acid lines and a mighty ever-evolving arpeggio that almost carries the track from start to finish.
On the flip, “Krember” looks like the ultimate acid weapon and comes packed along with deeper pads and dazzling synths, letting Denaila (Outcast) the duty of rounding out the package with a faster interpretation solely built for the dancefloor with sharp hats, tribal percussions and booming low-frequencies.
