As mobilee records head honcho alongside Anja Schneider, Ralf Kollmann has seen the label grow from its homegrown roots to the cutting edge house and techno lynchpin it is today. As both label boss and DJ, Ralf always impresses with his style and musical integrity…

Hi Ralf, Hope you’re well and thanks for answering a few questions. Mobilee are obviously one of the biggest and most successful labels on the European circuit…what do you have lined up next for the label release-wise?

We are all working hard and putting a lot of love in everything we do. Next on the mobilee release schedule is Ray Okpara with his debut album “Good Times”. Its’ coming with a special coloured vinyl edition in 2 parts. Followed up by David Labeij and Hector before the year ends. We just got the new Sebo K ready for Mastering with release January next year. And Mark Fanciulli contributed a release for our sister label Leena Music. And last but not least Rodriguez Jr. is in charge for the next mobilee back to back vol. 7! It´s not getting boring in the mobilee house!

Mobilee have also been hosting their very own crazy ‘Mobilee Session’ parties across the world on rooftops, by swimming pools and in the very best clubs and event spaces. Do you have any Mobilee showcases planned for London for us to look forward to?

We are really looking forward to bring the first bigger 100% mobilee show to London on Dec 8th. We partnered up with LWE for the mobilee warehouse session with Anja Schneider, Sebo K, Rodriguez Jr. –live-, Geddes and myself.

Talking about event spaces… We are working on “mobilee on Ice” taking place in Berlin Jan 2013!

What makes London such a special place to play?

London has so much to offer with its versatile club scene and i have some really great friends living and working there. I never feel like a stranger when i come to London. The people are musically well educated, look great and party hard.

I´d live there, if i could afford the rent 😉

Do you have a favourite London memory?

If it comes to London memories the list is long.  I saw Prince playing live at the Millennium dome. 3rd row in front of the stage!

You can catch Ralf playing alongside Anja Schneider, Sebo K, Rodriquez Jnr, Geddes and Raymundo Rodriguez at the London Warehouse Events presents Mobilee Records showcase on Saturday December 8th .
