A celebration of electronic music is coming to Central America with a diverse selection of sound. Re:tune music is hosting a conference in Guatemala City that is set to host both after hours sets and technical workshops. Big name international artists will be mixing with local talent for the 3 day event, sharing incredible talent from Central America’s electronic music scene. From the 4th to the 7th of November, all throughout the day and into the evening, regional record labels will be hosting activities. Bringing together an international crowd under the appreciation for music is what it is all about. An event quite like this has never happened before.
Re:tune music is a record label & event producer that showcases cutting edge electronic music mostly within Honduras & Guatemala. Since 2008 they have been pushing micro-house and sharing their love for it with many others. After intricate planning with local bars, record stores, and government officials, they have overcome many obstacles and are excited the conference has finally come to fruition.
Kicking off the event will be local bars like The Box, Dfunk, and The Secret Garden each showcasing artists from a specific Central American country. Each entirely unique but never failing to bring energy that we expect.
November 5th will host the first workshop on synthesis and sound with Rod V. He is a local from Guatemala often bringing deep, atmospheric energy. Other workshops include an Introduction to FL Studio, rhythmic bases & plugins with Loht Vostok, an Honduras artists that is known for his techno house and groovy baselines, and a workshop on Synthesis with Wavetable with Gabriel Cazali. As the space is limited for all workshops be sure to register in advance with Re:tune.
The Friday night after party will feature Giuliano Lomonte. Bringing his Italian passion to his deep, tech and hypnotic set. Joining him will be local favourites Mariano Santolino, and Fer Campollo back to back with Luisja. Saturday’s party will headline with Dj Masda hailing from Germany, bringing his extensive international experience. Janeret, another international artist, is signed with French record label, Yoyaku. He has already made a name for himself within Europe and continues to share his sound internationally. Local talent joining the setlist on Saturday will be Ramon & The Switchers.
Throughout the conference you will also find local record stores with an entirely unique range of vinyls. A little digging will uncover some true hidden gems of sound that could only be found there.
This conference is an all encompassing appreciation for electronic music! Celebrating the diversity and inclusivity it brings while also fuelling new talent through educational workshops. Pre sale tickets have already been released. Get yours at the link below.
