To the institution that is Fabric open it’s door again is one thing, but to host a showcase from the one of the most respected underground minimal labels, Telum is another.
Over recent years, Telum label has been serving up some of the most in demand records from unknown artists catering for the more rominimal side of the musical spectrum.
With support from almost everyone under the famed ‘Tent 4’ banner and others, Telum has continuously grown from strength to strength.
Sunday night saw label boss Lee Clement aka Kolo & Dyze take to the decks first in the newly revamped Room 2 boasting a centered booth and sound quality sent from the heavens. His infectious grooves saw the floor filled in minutes making it a night to remember before it had even got started. With an insane track selection and flawless mixing, he really showed the crowd what makes him the Telum boss.
Secret headliner was none other than the dark lord and Ine of Romania’s finest exports, Mihigh. Taking to the decks around 2AM, he took us on a twisted journey of heavy baselines and mesmerising samples and of course deafening (in a good way) percussion. Mihigh’s selection had the dancefloor packed till the very end. The first ever Telum showcase saw over 600 attendees on a Sunday.
This rare intimate night in one of the worlds most famous club was nothing short of historic.
A busy period is ahead for the Telum crew as the next event will be in October and Telum008 is also in preparations, early support from Priku, Cap, Barac, Raresh & Pedro. Lastly, AURUM002 is also coming out soon.
Telum should hold its head up high.
