All you have to do is look at Robert Dietz’s Instagram to see that he is one of the globe’s most in-demand artists at the moment. Taking time out of his busy performance schedule, he has managed to create his newest mix, MEOKO 231. The mix boasts his ability to experiment with genres, featuring warping, intergalactic baselines and mesmeric voices, along with fat kicks and wonky synths. Having previously said he was inspired by punks in the late 80s and 90s, he is ambitious in his attempts to combine old house sounds with a new, forward-thinking approach that incorporates a DIY-aesthetic. Through working with his peers Luciano and Loco Dice, Dietz has continuously evolved his own style which has made him a global success. It’s hard to believe that he can also find time to take on his latest venture, the Berlin-based record label ‘Truth Be Told’. MEOKO-231 is an innovative mix, from one of the most distinctive and talented artists out there.
