UNUM Festival is back with the 2022 Edition even bigger and better than the last! The full lineup has been announced and has us even more excited than the last festival. Not only is there a killer full of heavyweights, but they have also added two extra days so there will be plenty to go around for everyone. More than 70 different artists, 3 stages, and nonstop music! What more could we ask for? From Wednesday, June 1st to June 6th we will be returning to the beaches of Albania for a week we will never forget!
UNUM festival was the talk of the town after their outstanding delivery of their second edition of the festival in 2021, as they kickstarted the European festival scene. After over a year off of the dance floor due to the pandemic, they were amongst the first festivals to return in a manner that gave people hope again. Unum Director, Grego O’Halloran says, ”the experience of how Unum 2021 took place, in the context of a global pandemic, meant that thousands of people shared in a little piece of the unique magic that will stay part of the festival’s history forever.” Last year’s event was nothing short of legendary, not just when it comes to creativity and experience, but due to its importance post Covid, and this year will bounce off the back of that joy and success. This set them to new heights and is now one of the most sought after festivals out there. Underground music lovers flock to the beautiful Rana e Hedhun to nestle in between the pine trees, and mountainous scenery to party in this untouched corner of the earth.
Their 2021 festival was one of our highlights and was highly featured on Meoko, including our special interview with John Dimas, who will be returning this year. With the line up now complete, we can’t wait to share it with you.
The much-anticipated festival is kickstarted with phase one of some of the finest artists within the underground music scene. The crowd favourite, Ricardo Villalobos will be joined by Romanian heavyweights Raresh, Rhadoo,Priku, Praslea. Each brings exemplary talent and delivers the minimal house we crave. Dyed Soundorom, Cesar Merveille, Cap, Digby, Tobi Neumann and the local hero John Dimas pick up right where they left off after their outstanding sets at UNUM 2021, and making their UNUM debut will be Anthea, Vera, Cezar, Gene On Earth, Fumiya Tanaka and Molly. Headlining the main stage will be Seth Troxler with a high-energy, dance-inducing set. Sonia Moonear, Traumer, tINI, Shonky, Cristi Cons, East End Dubs, Valentino Kanzyani, Butch will be joined by even more artists as well. More than 70 artists scattered across the Pine stage, Main stage, and Beach stage. This is just a peek behind the curtain of what is to come. Every year these artists layout tracks that become iconic for years to come.
More of these include Alex Dima, DJOKO, Butch and a string of newly announced artists like Kasheme Soundsystem, Leon Ruiz and Mouni Nadir who will be gliding you through the duration of the festival, blessing your ears with the sweet sound of house and techno.
This festival continues to draw not only the European crowd but an international one now as well. The scenic views, next to the nature backdrops, along with the peaceful local culture make this event more than just your average festival, but a relaxing holiday as well. Secluded beaches and woodland areas surround the stages, offering plenty of hidden gems to explore whilst taking in the fresh ocean air. It melds dancing and great music with an enriching travel experience. People dance together, meet new people, and come together as a community enjoying the same experience. The DJ booth seamlessly blends with the dance floor and together they party all night long. “We’ve added another day at the start and the festival will run longer until Monday also, because people just didn’t want to stop dancing!” says Unum Director, Grego O’Halloran. “We’ll also be spicing up the Beach Stage with some new sounds this year and adding some new, fresh faces on the Pines.”
This year’s music partners are: Club and event series After Caposile who are more than familiar with throwing together a great line up combined with a special production. Deset and Half Baked are one London’s most popular underground promoters and always finesse a fantastic collaboration. These continue with Ibiza Underground Movement who will provide the Ibiza and party rollover vibes, successful label Outcast, well-respected Secret Society, one of Barcelona’s leading promoters Watermelon, Zone, and Manchester event kingpins, You & Me. And if that wasn’t already enough to have you booking your flight to Shengjin then the offerings of water sports and mouthwatering local food and drink will be.
A piece of paradise and a sound system unmatched. Save the date! You won’t want to miss this one. Buy your tickets here!
