For most, summer 2013 marks the return of Glastonbury to the festival circuit.  If however, you like your festivals a little warmer and much less stressful, look no further than Vertigo, a brand new electronic music venture set to open in August of this year.  Set within one of Italy’s most naturally breathtaking mountain locations, Vertigo plans to cater for only 4,000 people, ensuring a unique and very intimate vibe.  Located at an altitude of over 1,500m (making it Europe’s highest altitude festival), its venue lies at the heart of the Piemonte region, with summer highs of 28 degrees and crisp, clear blue skies.  The views, as you can imagine, are spectacular.

Through its limited capacity and secluded setting, Vertigo is keen to establish itself as a niche festival and will maintain a strict music policy, dealing only in the finest cutting-edge sounds from a carefully collated assortment of underground house and techno acts.  So far, only a handful of the featured artists have been announced, including the likes of M.A.N.D.Y, Reboot, Move D and DJ Wild.   Boasting partnerships with record labels Cadenza and Get Physical and internationally renowned brands such as Resident Advisor and Sankeys, Vertigo has rapidly garnered scene-wide support. Set across the weekend of the 15-17th August and with 18 hours of music programmed for each of the three days, there aren’t many festivals on the circuit offering such a complete, hedonistic experience.

Vertigo Festival: 15-17th August 2013. Tickets are on sale now, with early bird weekend tickets to the festival costing just £69. More info at
