Dance music has presented and packaged itself in many different guises and forms over the years, taking with it a wealth of influence, culture and context as it seeped from the borders of the US into the wider world at large. And it can be said that it all started with the undisputed queen of the scene Disco.
It's dancefloor tremors and technological/societal
developments have ruptured modern music with a
cannon of danefloor scenes, sounds and fad just ask legendary selector, Dj, edit king and commentator Greg Wilson. A DJs DJ if there ever was one, greg has been championing the old and crediting the new simultaneously for over 2 decades, from the days of manually razorblading reel to reel to 'edit' stracks,
through to the current vinyl renaissance.
Greg's been loyal to his art since the beginning which is why we're chuffed to bits as he tailors us a special MEOKO mix ahead of his headline apperance at Noisily Festival in July. As ever expect a feast of rare gems, northern soul aesthetics anda barrell load of dancefloor
gunpowder as this master of the double clap takes us on another exhilirating and ecstatic trip. This set was live recorded at the Brighton Bank Holiday Belter, in August last year.
