Music Through Pictures is a special interview series, in which MEOKO gives an artist a number of images and asks for corresponding tracks in return, highlighting the relationship between art, sound, images and music, and at the same time gaining a fun insight into the musical minds of some of our favourite DJs and producers...

Deep house is now seen as fairly overseen and misunderstood term in modern electronic music, but David August is one of the current scene’s most integral purveyors of alternative, leftfield dance-floor music. Still in his tender years, the elusive and thoughtful beat-smith credited for his killer releases Peace of Conscience & You’ve Got To Love Me on Diynamic is all about working at his own pace, eschewing trends and pressure for a more subtle, meandering sound, perfectly summarizing his even more subtle and ethereal approach to the dance floor.

Taking time out from his slow-motion trips, David here joins us for the latest installment of the MEOKO Music Through Pictures series, offering his interpretations to ten striking images through the language of music, matching each one with a track that springs to mind and the reasons why. Time then, no doubt, to get even deeper with  this visionary producer and his peripheral view of the world.
