Music Through Pictures is a special interview series, in which MEOKO gives an artist nine images and asks for nine corresponding tracks in return; highlighting the relationship between art, sound, images and music, and at the same time gaining a fun insight into the musical minds of some of our favourite DJs and producers…
The infamous Parisian trio made up of Dan Ghenacia, Dyed Soundorom and Shonky recently put together the latest edition of fabric’s esteemed mix series, marking the 70th edition (which we reviewed here) and simultaneously showcasing two tracks off their debut EP, ‘Trinidad’ and ‘Visa American’. In anticipation for their appearance at fabric on July 20th as well as their DC10 takeover on the 24th August…we got in touch with the boys, and challenged them to take on our ‘Music Through Pictures’ interview series, giving them ten interesting images and in exchange for ten of their chosen related tracks. Pleasantly surprised by the sheer diversity and chronological range of their choices, the trio replied with some truly iconic artists and sounds; showing quite clearly the influences that make their own productions so unique!
