This instalment of MEOKO's mix series is hosted by Sidney Charles, a Hamburg raised, Berlin residing DJ who has been crafting his style as a DJ since the tender age of 15. With years of experience under his belt and a strong ear for production he continues to build his reputation both as a DJ and a producer. This mix collates the past and present of Sidney's influences and is a strong hint on what to expect while he manoeuvres in the booth. Percussive beginnings that lead to shimmering open hats that slice in-between reverberant snares as if Jack himself is whistling through the tweeters. A strong element of Detroit pastiche layered with 'neo-Chicago' synths and steroid pumped bass lines that roll through the speakers as if they would pierce even the most impenetrable of teflon vests.
